Vintage 2002 NASA EOS Aqua Earth Observing System Satellite Launch Patch 6"x4" Mint
This patch commemorates the launch of NASA's Aqua satellite (originally named EOS PM-1). Launched on May 4, 2002, via a Delta II rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Aqua was built to study Earth's water cycle, precipitation, and evaporation. The right-hand border of the patch highlights its cutting-edge scientific payloads, including AIRS, AMSR-E, AMSU-A, CERES, HSB, and MODIS. This patch is not a reproduction, ithas been carefully preserved in a 25 year old private collection.
