This vintage 1983 Bing & Grondahl First Edition \"Mary the Doll\" is a gem! She is the 1st doll created by Bing & Grondahl in a series of 7 annual porcelain dolls. Her head, arms & legs are high glazed porcelain. To obtain the subtle flesh color, pure 24 Karat gold was used! The porcelain pieces are fitted with finely detailed accessories: a silk screened rosebud gown, lace petticoat & pantaloons, and embroidered bonnet and a cloth baby doll. Mary measures 13 3/4\" high with a wire stand attached to a beautiful hardwood base. The 1st edition production was limited to 1983 only.
