Striking vintage Harris China ceramic table lamp, believed to date from the 1980s, featuring an unusual sculptural geometric design and internal accent lighting.
The deep red/burgundy glazed ceramic body has a dramatic folded or zigzag form. Lights inside the ceramic body illuminate the openings from within, producing a warm glow and highlighting the lamp’s sculptural shape. The lamp also has the traditional upper socket for use with a lampshade.
This is a fantastic example of 1980s Postmodern / Art Deco Revival design, with an architectural appearance that makes it just as much a decorative sculpture as a functional lamp.
The original “Genuine Harris China” label remains attached to the back, along with the original glazed-ceramic information label. The underside retains its Made in USA and inspection labels.
The lamp has been tested and works, including the internal accent lighting, as shown in the photographs.
Overall good vintage condition. There are normal signs of age and use, including light surface marks/scuffs and a small glaze imperfection/spot shown in the close-up photograph. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the condition description.
