The set pieces are constructed from cast metal filigree finished in bright gilded gold-tone paint or high-gloss brass imitation plating.

They heavily employ intricate Rococo and Baroque scrolling patterns, faux-bamboo or leaf trim, and beveled mirror panels meant to catch vanity lighting.
