Vintage 1950s Mid Century Van Briggle Tourquoise Floral Lamp with Butterfly ShadeIf you are looking at this listing, you probably know who Van Briggle was and how popular his ceramics are.I\'m pretty good at researching item on the internet. I have yet to find this particular style lamp. The Van Briggle catalog says it is a \"tourquoise floral lamp with butterfly shade\". I\'ve found every other lamp but this particular one.
As with the other Van Briggle lamp shades, this one has the real butterflies and flowers in it. The light glows beautifully with the transluscent color matching shade and the color of the ceramic lamp.
It is a beautiful tourquoise color with the classic Van Briggle mat finish. In very good condition with minor wear. Some of the vinyl stitching on the top and bottom of the shade has broken. The total height of the lamp is 24\", the shade is 16\" wide, the ceramic lamp is 12\" tall and 6\" wide. The original cord is in good working condition. The cord has a cloth outter skin that has freyed a bit.
Stunning in person, gets great complements. I misplaced the original metal finial for the photos and used one I had on hand, I found the original metal one that will go with the lamp instead. The last photo showing the ash tray and lotus bowl are NOT included in this listing. They are only pictured to show you the other Van Briggle items I have listed for sale in other listings.
