An absolute time capsule piece of post-WWII Americana. This is a genuine New Old Stock (NOS) / Deadstock souvenir travel pennant featuring the U.S. Capitol Building. It comes directly from a pristine, uncirculated cache of mid-century pennants (other examples in this specific lot were firmly dated to 1945). It has never been displayed, pinned, or circulated.Condition Details:

• Felt & Fiber: Incredible museum-quality preservation. Period-accurate, lightweight, and pliable multi-tonal green felt. Features the classic thin, supple texture typical of immediate post-war textile manufacturing restrictions.
• Graphics: Crisp, multi-layer screen printing featuring a cream base layer accented with vibrant yellow, orange, and green details.

True to handmade mid-century manufacturing, this piece showcases beautiful, authentic factory assembly characteristics from the era:

• The Header Stitching: The 7.5" x 0.75" off-white header strip features two lines of straight white stitching. The header is naturally arced/curved from the factory floor. Near the outer edge, the factory stitch line didn't perfectly align with the green felt, leaving a small section unattached at the very lip. The inner stitch line firmly secures the header to the body—this is an authentic manufacturing quirk, not a structural split or broken thread.
• Asymmetrical Ties: Features original dark brown felt ties. In true hand-cut fashion, the top ties measure 4" while one of the bottom ties extends to 4.5".
