This is a vintage 1939 State Fair of Texas souvenir lapel pin or brooch, die-cut in the shape of a key. The front features red enamel detailing with raised gold-tone lettering that reads: "State Fair of Texas 1939" on the bow and "Opening Day" along the blade. The reverse is clearly stamped with the official maker's marks from The Greenduck Co. Chicago, alongside three distinct union bug emblems.
The pin is in nice vintage condition with an intact front enamel surface, minor signs of age/wear, and some localized discoloration on the metal back. It measures approximately 1-1/2 inches in length (as shown against the ruler) and features its original, fully functional wire safety-style pin closure. Ideal for collectors of vintage Texas exonumia, Dallas history, or classic state fair memorabilia.
