This listing is for one rare vintage 1930s Napoleon Brand Italian Olive Oil 1-gallon lithographed advertising tin can imported by The Napoleon Co. of Seattle, Washington. This large commercial-size display piece features a vibrant multi-color portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte inside a laurel wreath on the front and unique historical recipe panels on the back.
Condition:
This antique tin is in good vintage condition overall, featuring a very clean exterior face that displays beautifully with bright, distinct colors and highly detailed litho graphics. The top panel has a localized dent on one side, and the top and bottom rims show an authentic aged patina. The interior of the can has heavy, significant rust and oxidation at the bottom from long-term storage, as clearly pictured. The tin is empty and has no remaining contents. Please thoroughly review all photos to evaluate the cosmetic condition and dimensions.
I would Evapo-Rust the inside, new owner should restore and enjoy the process.
