Magnificent 14.75" tall Lausitzer (German Democratic Republic) vase commands attention with its dramatic sawtooth rim and heavily paneled base, framing an expansive central lens that showcases a finely wheel-engraved floral motif of frosted wild roses, delicate leaves, and climbing stems. Surrounding this soft, naturalistic center are deeply cut geometric fields featuring crisp pinwheel stars and tight cross-hatch diamond patterns that catch and scatter light across its faceted surfaces. Melding rigorous geometric cutting with delicate organic engraving, this substantial piece exemplifies the sophisticated craftsmanship, deep color saturation, and striking visual depth characteristic of premium vintage Lausitzer glass production. Overall in mint condition w/brilliant clarity with exception of hard to notice small chip to base (see last pic).
