Beautiful large woven wood / bamboo-style hinged storage box featuring a warm honey-brown finish and an eye-catching checkerboard basket-weave design.
This is much more substantial than a small trinket box. Its approximately 15-inch size makes it a versatile decorative storage piece that can be displayed on a shelf, console, dresser, office, bedroom or living-room table while providing plenty of interior storage.
The exterior features individually woven rectangular strips arranged in an alternating basket-weave pattern, creating wonderful texture and a rustic handcrafted appearance. The coordinating wood trim runs around the center of the box, while two metal hinges along the rear allow the entire top to lift open.
Inside is a smooth reddish-brown finished storage compartment, giving the piece a much cleaner and more finished appearance than an ordinary open wicker basket.

* Photos and keepsakes
* Letters and documents
* Craft supplies

It also works beautifully simply as a decorative statement box for rustic, bohemian, tropical, coastal, eclectic, farmhouse or vintage-inspired interiors.

Condition Disclosure
This piece has genuine character from previous use.
There is general cosmetic wear throughout including surface scratches, finish variation, small marks and areas of wear consistent with age/use.
Please note: one small square/section of the woven exterior material is missing from the top of the lid. The underlying backing and a small staple/fastener are visible in this area. This flaw has been clearly photographed so buyers know exactly what they are receiving.
There may also be minor imperfections elsewhere in the woven material from previous use.
No manufacturer or maker’s mark could be confidently identified. A partially removed/torn retail label remains inside, but there is not enough information present to attribute the piece to a specific brand.
I am therefore selling this as an unbranded decorative woven wood/bamboo storage box rather than making an unsupported claim regarding manufacturer or exact age.
Pre-owned vintage/vintage-style condition with visible age-related and cosmetic wear. There are scratches, scuffs, finish wear and other signs of previous use throughout. One small section of the woven wood/bamboo panel is missing from the top of the lid, exposing the backing beneath. Please see close-up photos.
The box remains a beautiful decorative and functional storage piece despite the cosmetic wear. Please review all photographs carefully as they are considered part of the condition description.
A unique piece with plenty of decorative appeal and practical storage space.
