Vintage Wooden Auto Body Shaping tools - Lead Shaping tools - AUTO SHOP TOOLS For Sale

These vintage wooden tools are used to shape heated lead for the purpose of filling in damaged parts of a vehicle. Seller acquired these tools from a retired auto body repair man’s grandson, so these are quite old. According to my research they are used to shape hot metal (lead) while performing auto body repairs. These wooden tools are typically dipped in oil prior to shaping the lead, so the hot metal does not stick to the tool. Sale also includes vintage brush, with stiff bristles as pictured.
