This vintage ceramic dish is an original \"Geranium\" pattern piece produced by Winfield Pottery under their \"Gabriel Pasadena\" trademark.
The stylized floral artwork on this dish was designed by Margaret Mears Gabriel, who joined Winfield Pottery in 1935 as chief designer and later took over operations alongside her husband.
Known as the \"Geranium\" pattern (often marked with mold/pattern numbers on the base). It features a hand-painted, Asian-inspired abstract floral design done in deep burgundy/purple hues over an old rose pink background glaze.
Pieces bearing the handwritten or incised \"Gabriel Pasadena\" signature on the unglazed bottom typically date back to the 1940s. Production of this style largely occurred before 1946, when massive post-war demand led the company to outsource manufacturing to Santa Monica.
