This is the larger, heavy-format 4.5-inch jaw width model, which is far scarcer than the standard 4-inch utility variants. • Please Note: This vise is a project shell and is missing its internal main threaded spindle lead screw, assembly nut, and front handle crossbar entirely. The central body barrel cylinder is completely open.
• The entire cast iron frame displays a natural, rich uniform surface rust, shop dust, and old grease layers from decades of workshop storage.
• The Good News: The main casting core is in excellent structural shape. There are absolutely no visible hairline stress fractures, brazed weld repairs, or deep anvil hammer scars on the sliding jaw or base rails. The original hardened steel jaw face inserts are still tightly bolted down with solid serrations. The swivel base locks down firmly.
