Vintage Western Electric Candlestick Base & 528 Receiver Set Military Markings For Sale

Up for sale/sale is a beautifully weathered, highly character-rich pair of early telecommunications history. This lot includes an original Western Electric candlestick-style desk stand featuring a built-in push-to-talk mechanism, paired alongside a separate Western Electric 528 "watchcase" earpiece receiver.TIME-WORN COSMETIC CHARACTER:
This set is being sold exactly as-found, showcasing heavy cosmetic wear that tells a story of extensive historical use.

• Honest Wear & Patina: The base shows significant wear to the original black finish, completely exposing the smooth, underlying brass/metal trim along the front rim. It features authentic scuffs, surface scratches, and a raw vintage patina that gives it incredible aesthetic appeal as a display piece.
• Original Orange Stencils: Despite the heavy cosmetic wear across the base, the striking orange military-style inspector stenciling remains crisp and legible—including the stamped tracking square with an "A", code "4706", and inspector letter "J".

ITEM FEATURES & MARKINGS:

• Western Electric Collar: Stamped clearly around the neck collar with "WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY" and design patents "AUG 16 04" and "SEPT 13 04".
• Press-To-Talk Post: Designed without a traditional side hook, the vertical column features an engraved "PRESS TO TALK" toggle section, common for vintage radio desk or intercom configurations.
• Believes to be Model 528 Earpiece: Included is a separate Western Electric 528 watchcase receiver with its original heavy braided cloth cord.

IMPORTANT CONDITION & BUYER NOTES:

• Sold Purely "As-Is" / Untested / For Parts: This set is unverified, untested, and completely non-functional in its current state. The mouth transmitter capsule elements are not present.
• Historical Display Piece: It is being offered strictly as a historical artifact, restoration project, or rustic industrial decor piece.
