A wonderfully ornate decorative piece from Wallace,this oval freestanding mirror features the company's Baroque pattern,identified by the raised “Baroque / WALLACE” mark on the reverse.
The frame is richly sculpted with deep scrollingfoliage, floral ornamentation and dramatic Baroque/Rococo-inspired curves,extending into decorative feet at the base. An attached rear easel allows themirror to stand independently on a vanity, dresser, dressing table or displayshelf.
The aged silverplate is especially attractive, with darkerpatina settled naturally into the recessed ornamentation and warmer tonesappearing throughout the relief. The result gives the elaborate designconsiderably more visual depth than a uniformly bright polished surface.

CONDITION
The ornate silverplate frame shows tarnish, oxidation,finish variation and age-related surface wear, particularly within therecessed decoration and around portions of the reverse perimeter. Thesecharacteristics have been intentionally left intact rather than aggressivelypolished.
The mirror glass remains intact and usable but shows visibleage-related spotting/speckling and surface wear. Rear easel stand andmirror-retaining hardware are present and functional.
No cracks or major breaks to the decorative frame.
