Up for sale is an authentic, original World War II U.S. Military Cattaraugus 225Q Quartermaster heavy utility/combat knife.This is a true battlefield relic with excellent clear stamping on the ricasso reading "Cattaraugus 225Q". It features the iconic, heavy-grooved waffle-pattern steel pommel designed for emergency hammering.CONDITION DETAILS (Please view photos carefully):
- This knife is being sold AS-IS in relic/restoration condition.
- BLADE: Shows significant surface rust, heavy pitting, and oxidation appropriate for its age. The edge and profile remain mostly intact.
- HANDLE: The original stacked leather washer grip has dried and shrunk over time, creating a few loose gaps that expose the inner steel tang. The exposed tang has deep rust scaling.
