**Rare Vintage WWII-Era 1945 Bulgarian Military Soldier & Family Portrait Postcard**
Up for sale is an authentic, original vintage black-and-white real photo postcard (RPPC) dated **May 23, 1945**, capturing an intimate look at a Bulgarian military family immediately following the conclusion of World War II in Europe.
The front features a crisp studio portrait of a young Bulgarian soldier posing proudly alongside his wife and toddler. The soldier is dressed in his official military tunic, featuring prominent collar tabs adorned with numbers or stars, bright buttons, and a traditional peaked soft field cap with a central cockade badge. The woman wears a classic mid-century dark dress with puffed shoulders and a cross pendant necklace, while the toddler wears a charming knitted winter hood with little pointed ears.
The reverse side reveals an unposted divided postcard back packed with magnificent contemporary ink context in traditional pre-reform Bulgarian Cyrillic script:
* **The Dedication:** Beautifully written in fountain pen ink: **"За Спомен на Бати Марко и Буля Пенка..."** (For a memory to Brother Marko and Sister-in-law Penka...).
* **The Senders:** Dedicated from **"от Митко, Марийка и малката Вики"** (from Mitko, Mariyka, and little Vicky).
* **The Date:** Clearly dated at the bottom: **"23.V.1945 год."** (May 23, 1945).
* **Condition:** Vintage pre-owned condition in good overall shape. The front photograph retains great tonal depth, crisp detail focus, and excellent contrast. The paper borders show typical light corner softening and a tiny bit of edge wear. The reverse side exhibits general age-toning and mild foxing/brown spotting near the margins, but the ink writing remains entirely bold, crisp, and beautifully legible. Please view both high-resolution pictures closely to judge the exact physical state.
