Vintage Voting Ballot Box, Fraternal, 37 White China and Clay Marbles, S1677 For Sale

Type: This is a vintage wooden ballot box with 37 handmade white and black voting marbles, (the white ones are glazed chinas/white benningtons and the black marbles are clays). These boxes were used by fraternal organizations and such to conduct voting. A white marble was a for 'for' and a black was 'against' hence the term 'black balled' for someone voted out of favor.
Condition: General wear on the wood. Marbles do have some wear.
Age: 1890's-1930's for the box and 1860's-1920's for the marbles
