👤 About Valley Forge & Grogan Photo
Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, is where Washington’s Continental Army camped through the hard winter of 1777–78 and came out a stronger fighting force. It’s now Valley Forge National Historical Park. Grogan Photo of Illinois produced “Genuine Photographs” miniature souvenir folders for tourist sites across the country, including Williamsburg, Virginia. Local vendors like Mrs. B. V. Brown sold them to visitors.
Contemporaries: Collectors may also enjoy souvenir view folders by Curt Teich, B. S. Reynolds Co. (Washington, D.C.), Mike Roberts, and Dexter Press.
📏 Display Notes
The views look great in a small frame, an album, or a shadow box with other Revolutionary War memorabilia. Store them in archival sleeves away from sunlight.
