This is an original vintage U.S. Army ROTC (Reserve Officers\' Training Corps) Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) patch.

Design Elements: It features a highly detailed, 100% embroidered gold Lamp of Knowledge / Torch layered over a circular field split horizontally into blue, white (khaki twill), and red bars. The bottom red section features the text \"ARMY R.O.T.C.\" in gold embroidery.
Construction & Age: This patch features a distinct cut-edge border. This specific style and color configuration was first authorized and utilized around the World War II era and continued production into the post-war late 1940s and 1950s before being replaced by newer command variations later in the 20th century.
