This fabric has been stitched / looped together originally to form a Huipil but garment remained uncut / unfinished. Garment is still sewn together in a loop. See photos.
This fabric is in excellent vintage shape. Colors are vibrant, texture is perhaps smoother / softer than cotton and may contain wool / cashmere.
The pattern on this fabric resembles a Peruvian / Mexican serape poncho or blanket. This fabric was handmade and loom woven in South America most likely Guatemala.
