Vintage dinner knife from The Phoenix Hotel of Lexington, Kentucky.
The handle features “The Phoenix Hotel” lettering along with a stylized PH monogram at the opposite end. The blade is stamped “STAINLESS.” Knife measures approximately 8 3/4 inches long.
The Phoenix Hotel was a longtime downtown Lexington landmark and operated for generations before closing in the 1970s.
Knife shows substantial age and use including tarnish, darkening, surface scratches, scuffs, plating wear, discoloration and general restaurant/service wear. The original hotel markings remain visible as shown.
A neat piece of Lexington, Kentucky hotel history and a good addition to a local advertising, restaurant ware or historic hotel collection.
