Comoy’s is one of the grand old names in pipe making. The family got its start in Saint-Claude, France in the early 1800s before opening a London factory in the late 1800s, where Comoy’s built its reputation for classic English craftsmanship. For much of the 20th century, a Comoy’s was considered right there with Dunhill, Charatan, Sasieni, and GBD. Their best pipes—especially the Blue Riband, Specimen Straight Grain, Selected Straight Grain, and early Tradition grades—are still among the finest English pipes ever made, known for excellent briar, comfortable shaping, and effortless smoking qualities. After Cadogan consolidated much of the English pipe industry in the 1980s, production changed and most collectors agree the earlier family-era pipes are the ones to own. If you find an old Comoy’s with crisp stamping and the classic three-piece C stem logo, don’t overthink it. Odds are you’re holding one of the best values left in vintage English briar.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
