Vintage set of 2 Tabasco Brand Standard Oysters round serving/display trays featuring a colorful reproduction of an early Tabasco advertising label.
Each tray has a woven bamboo/rattan-style construction with a striking red and dark green/black design featuring the classic Tabasco bottle surrounded by oysters.
Back labels read:
“Obsolete labels from the Archives of Louisiana Trade Labels, Inc., reproduced by D.H. Holmes Company, Ltd., with permission from McIlhenny Company.”
Approximately 13” diameter.
Both retain their identifying labels on the reverse. One also retains an old D.H. Holmes price sticker.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with visible surface, edge and rim wear, including scuffs, scratches and areas of finish loss. The wear gives them a great aged advertising/folk-art appearance. Please see all photos for exact condition.
