Vintage Sunbeam Coffee Master Electric C50 Vacuum Siphon Coffee Maker
Unit is in good working order. No leaks. Creates a great vacuum and piping hot coffee. Has a small dent on carafe and a lot of scratches from being banged around for 70 years. See pics.
Use Instructions.
1. Fill desired amount of water in bottom pot.
2. Insert the metal filter in the top bowl and push the filter down until the hook end hooks on the spout end.
3. Place top on and lock in by pressing both handles down. (This creates the seal for vacuum to happen)
4. I put one teaspoon of coffee grounds per cup of coffee I'm making. Adjust to your desired strength. Just dump in the top.
5. Put lid on and plug in the pot. Turn to the left to brew.
6. The system will create a vacuum which draws the water up into the top to mix with coffee.
7. After it percolates the light will go off and in 1-4 mins the vacuum will release and draw the coffee back through the filter into the carafe.
8. Carefully verify the liquid has been transferred to the bottom by lifting the lid to visually inspect.
9. lift both handles taking care not to touch the metal and lift off top and set in sink or bowl. Take lid and put it on the carafe and enjoy the best cup of coffee! (opinion)
