Vintage 1956 Sun-Drop Cola Base 1-Gallon Amber Glass Duraglas Jug
Up for sale/sale is a rare vintage 1-Gallon Sun-Drop Cola Base Amber Glass Jug produced for the Sun Drop Sales Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri.
This jug was used at bottling facilities and fountain syrup dispensaries, featuring the full original paper bottling label on the front with complete mixing and carbonation formulas ("214 Pounds Pure Cane Sugar, 17½ Gallons Filtered Water, 4 Gallons Sun Drop Base...").
Markings & Features:
Paper Label: Original yellow and green paper label intact with original timestamp stamped DEC 15 1956.
Embossed Glass: Embossed "ONE GALLON" near the upper neck/shoulder and "Duraglas" in script near the bottom heel.
Base Markings: Features the classic Owens-Illinois glass mark (I inside an O) with plant/date codes (7 and 6).
Lid: Comes complete with its original screw-on metal cap.
Jug Handle: Classic single finger loop handle design.
