Vintage Spencer binocular laboratory microscope, serial number 302365, dating to approximately 1949–1950.
This is a heavy-duty mid-century laboratory microscope with binocular viewing head, mechanical stage, coarse/fine focusing controls, rotating objective turret, and substantial cast-metal construction. It also retains an old Clemson University Materials Engineering identification label, giving it interesting institutional provenance.
The microscope shows age-appropriate wear including dust, surface oxidation, scratches, finish loss, and other cosmetic marks from decades of laboratory use and storage.
