Charming vintage miniature ceramic character mug / Toby-style mug featuring a smiling gentleman wearing a brown hat, green clothing and bow tie. The handle is incorporated into the hat design, with molded brown hair detailing around the back.
The bottom is clearly stamped “MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN.” Pieces carrying this mark generally date from the post-WWII Allied occupation period, circa 1947–1952.
