Vintage Second National Bank money deposit bag from Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

This attractive early banking collectible features a tan/olive canvas body with brown leather corner reinforcement, a zippered closure, and elegant dark blue script lettering identifying the bank.

The front reads:

"The Second National Bank – Mechanicsburg, Pa."

The bag is additionally marked "M105," believed to be an individual identification number.

The Second National Bank of Mechanicsburg was established in 1864 and operated as an independent Pennsylvania financial institution until June 29, 1957, when it consolidated with The Harrisburg National Bank.
