Vintage Scripto Vu-Lighter, believed to date to the 1960s. Made in the USA.
Features a transparent fuel reservoir, a flip-top metal lid, and a blue band with horizontal grooves. Inside is a decorative insert featuring a triangle within a circle and a stylized monogram. The emblem’s affiliation has not been identified.
The windscreen is marked “VU-LIGHTER by Scripto Inc.” The base is marked “MADE U.S.A.” along with patent numbers.
The lighter has been tested and works. A new flint has been installed. The photos show the lighter producing a flame. Uses lighter fluid.
Vintage condition with signs of use, including scratches, scuffs, and localized wear to the metal plating. The transparent reservoir has a yellowish tint and surface scratches.
