Very good pre-owned condition; severaldolls have imperfections along the rim, likely from not being opened properly. Pleasesee last photos.
Largest doll measures 6 ½” tall.
Zagorsk, the Soviet-era name forSergiev Posad, a historic town near Moscow renowned for traditional Russian woodcarvingand Matryoshka (nesting) doll production.
She wears a black and gold latticed /webbed headdress, often referred to as a kokoshnik, under her red shawl, whichis a signature element of the Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk) style.
Her face features large, dark,expansive eyes, pronounced eyelashes and a delicate mouth.
The apron front shows a dark greenand black design adorned with a large, vibrant red stylized floral medallionand golden linework accents.
