Up for sale is a beautiful, highly eclectic lot of six (6) vintage collectible trinket and jewelry boxes. This collection beautifully highlights a variety of traditional folk art styles, shapes, and structural mediums—ranging from authentic Russian papier-mâché to fine porcelain and segmented lacquered bamboo.
### 1. Authentic Kholui Papier-Mâché Box — "Sadko" (c. 1970s-1980s)
The anchor piece of this collection. A beautiful rectangular jewelry box hand-painted in the village of Kholui, depicting the famous Russian epic legend (bylina) of "Sadko," the gusli musician.
* Features an authentic interlocking internal pin hinge built straight into the papier-mâché walls.
* Finished with a classic vibrant cinnabar-red lacquered interior and an ornate gold leaf filigree border.
* Titled "Садко" (Sadko) in delicate gold Cyrillic script.
* Condition: Excellent vintage structural condition with beautiful lacquer gloss. Minor sticker residue on the bottom face.
### 2. Square Papier-Mâché Hinged Box — "Frog Motif" (c. 1990s)
* Features a whimsical folk art frog resting on a lily pad.
* Traditional internal pin-hinge assembly with a bright red lacquered interior.
* Stands on a beautifully bracketed tiered pedestal base.
### 3. Double-Sided Porcelain Cabinet Box — "Peacock & Cathedral" (c. 1990s-2000s)
* A unique fired-ceramic porcelain piece featuring a vibrant blue and gold peacock scene on the lid.
* The underside features an additional miniature scene of a golden-domed Russian Orthodox Cathedral over a bright emerald green glazed base.
* Clean glazed white porcelain interior wells.
### 4. Segmented Bamboo Velvet-Lined Box — "Lily of the Valley" (c. 1980s-1990s)
* Crafted from turned/segmented natural bamboo fibers with visible vertical grain lines along the bottom perimeter.
* Features a loose, lift-off style lid over an elevated inner collar lip.
* The interior is luxuriously appointed with its original plush, cinnabar-red velvet lining.
### 5. Round Wrap-Around Floral Folk Art Box (Khokhloma Style)
* Features vibrant red, green, and gold floral blooms painted seamlessly across the lid and completely around the exterior base walls.

### Condition Note:
All boxes are in good to excellent vintage condition. No structural cracks or deep chips to the bodies or hinge joins. Some light, expected surface scuffs are present from shelf display. The rectangular Kholui box and one round box have light residue on their undersides from historical price stickers (easily cleaned). Please review the high-resolution images carefully to evaluate the finer aesthetic details.
