Vintage Rosina #5413 Bone China Footed Cup & Saucer Set. Made in England.Measurements: The cup is 2-1/2" in Height x 3-1/2" in Width x 4-1/4" Length (at Handle). The Saucer is 5-3/4" in Width.Pattern Description: Bone, Purple Violets, Green Leaves, Scalloped, Gold Trim, Made in England. Company History: Rosina China Co Ltd. was a china manufacturer at the Queen's Pottery, Sutherland Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England from 1941 until 1988. Around 1941 the the brothers Oswald & Derek Shufflebottom acquired the business of George Warrilow & Son. They renamed it Rosina China Co. Ltd. Because of their operation at the Queen's Pottery, the company is often referred to as Rosina-Queens. In September 1987 Rosina China merged with Elizabethan Fine Bone China and from June 1988 they operated under the temporary name of 'Crownford Holdings Ltd' Both of these businesses were already owned by the brothers Oswald & Derek Shufflebottom. Then in January 1989 the merged companies became Crownford China Co. Ltd., thus ending the Rosina business name. Maker's Mark: The 'ROSINA-[crown]-BONE CHINA-MADE IN-ENGLAND' mark on this set dates to ca. 1952 forward.
Condition:Excellent vintage condition with very little signs of prior use. The gold trim is bright and shiny. See photos.
