Vintage Ronson Adonis Sterling Silver Lighter – Engine Turned Design For Sale

This vintage Ronson Adonis pocket lighter is beautifully crafted in sterling silver with an intricate engine-turned design on both sides. The front features a blank rectangular cartouche framed by the geometric decoration, with no monogram or personalization.

Compact and substantial in the hand, the Adonis has the sleek, streamlined styling for which vintage Ronson accessories are known. Alternating bands of fine and wider horizontal lines give the sterling surface a subtle geometric pattern that catches the light, while the smooth borders and sculptural lighter mechanism provide an attractive contrast. It measures 2 1/8\" wide x 1 3/4\" high x 3/8\" thick. About 1.9 oz.

The underside is clearly marked STERLING and RONSON ADONIS, NEWARK N.J. U.S.A., along with patent information and serial number 322833. A wonderful example of vintage American design and a handsome addition to a collection of Ronson lighters, sterling silver accessories, or vintage smoking collectibles.

Condition: The lighter shows its history, with scratches and surface wear from age and use, particularly visible on the smooth silver surfaces. The engine-turned decoration remains well defined, and there are no monograms. Please see the photographs for a close look at the condition. The lighter is not currently working and is being sold as-is for collection, display, or restoration.
