Vintage Ronald Reagan Rancho del Cielo Wood & Miniature Gold Axe Memento/Display. Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Approximately 4 inches wide. Comes in original box as shown in pictures. President Ronald Reagan loved spending time at his
688-acre ranch, Rancho del Cielo (meaning "Ranch of the Sky"), located high in the Santa Ynez Mountains above Santa Barbara, California. Clearing brush, trimming oak branches, and chopping wood were his favorite ways to unwind from the stress of the Oval Office.Because chopping wood became so synonymous with his rugged "Western" presidential persona, the administration packaged actual wood scraps from his ranch maintenance chores into premium acrylic desk mementos and paperweights. These pieces were primarily distributed to high-level White House guests, campaign donors, or loyal staff members as a prestigious token of appreciation.
