Vintage Record T5 SS Plane. Early Version 2 1/4" cutter. 1930s. Made in England. For Sale

A rare vintage Record T5 Stay-Set technical jack plane. This is the first version, made in the 1930s with 2 1/4" wide frog, cutter, chipbreaker and lever cap. The later models, almost all that can be found, have a 2" cutter. The SS model is even less common. This one is complete except for the side handle. The cutter is almost full length, both handles are of the early tropical hardwood, and have been rubbed down lightly and waxed. The rear handle has been repaired by me. All other parts have been wire wheel cleaned. The enamel finish appears original and hasn't been touched up, only cleaned and given a buff with some oil.
