Description Up for sale is a delightful powder compact by Helena Rubinstein.  Compact lid has charming little pink cherub, riding a white swan and shooting his arrow.  The compact is 1940’s and is just super charming!  This also coincides with the time her fragrance Heaven Sent was introduced.  On the web it described 800 submissions were made to Rubinstein before she finally accepted the new fragrance and described it as:  What a heavenly scent! 
 

• This is a metal powder compact whose lid is enameled with pink blue and white.  The center of the compact has the little pink cherub, sitting on his white swan, perhaps on a white cloud, shooting his little arrow at the humans below him.
• The interior of the compact has a metal stamping reading:  made in England and signed on the top of the powder door, just below the hinge.
• The lid is edged in brass, with a baby blue and patterned gold design surrounding the cherub in the swan cloud.
• There is no powder puff.
• The interior glass mirror is in very good condition, but there are several teeny tiny black dots at the bottom of the mirror.
• The lid opens easily to where the loose powder would be stored.
  • The lid is signed at the bottom of the lid as follows:

• Compact opens easily
• The backside of compact is brass, with a triangular design engraved with teeny circles in each engraved triangle.
• Height of compact is:  about 3 5/8 inches tall
