Issue 1: May 1940
Cover Story: "Code of the Boomer" by Harry Bedwell.
Back Cover Ad: Lucky Strike Cigarettes ("Uncle Sam did a fine job of making tobacco better than ever").
Condition Details: This issue is in poor-to-fair condition. There is a prominent vertical tear running several inches up from the bottom edge into the front cover's main locomotive artwork. The cover also shows edge chipping, spine wear, and paper tanning consistent with its age.
Issue 2: June 1940
Cover Story: "Signal Tower Girl" by Dave Martin and "Hook and Eye Division" by H.G. Monroe.

Condition Details: This issue is in poor condition. It has a major structural defect with a large triangular piece completely torn and missing from the bottom-left corner of the front cover. Expect heavy chipping along the cover edges, spine flaking, and interior page tanning.
