Vintage RPPC Horse and Buggy Bee Lucy Jessie Stickley Named Family AZO 1910s:
$9.99

Vintage RPPC Horse and Buggy Bee Lucy Jessie Stickley Named Family AZO 1910s.Postcard DetailsA genuine early real photo postcard (RPPC) on AZO photographic paper, confirmed by the AZO stamp box on the back (two triangles up, two down, the c.1904-1918 configuration), with a divided back. The photograph shows a horse-drawn buggy with its folding top raised, parked on grass beneath shade trees: a harnessed horse stands in profile at the front, two women sit in the buggy, and a man stands at the horse's head. The people are identified in period handwriting on the back, transcribed exactly as written: "Bee's horse and buggy. Bee is dressed in white, Lucy is sitting beside her, and Jessie Stickley in front." Bee, in her white dress, holds the reins, with Lucy beside her and Jessie Stickley standing in front. It is a charming, fully identified piece of American family and horse-drawn-era history. No publisher or town is named anywhere on the card.Condition NotesThe photograph has the silvering sheen common to photo paper of this era across its darker areas, visible when the card is tilted to the light, and there is gentle fading toward the right edge and the upper corners, but the image detail remains good and the horse, buggy and figures are clear. The white borders and corners are clean. The back shows light age toning and a few faint spots and smudges, along with the handwritten identification in brown ink at the upper left. The card was never mailed and the address side is blank.Shipping and Handling◆ Packaging: Shipped securely in a protective plastic sleeve with card stock support inside a white envelope.
