Postcard DetailsA genuine early real photo postcard (RPPC) on AZO photographic paper, confirmed by the AZO stamp box on the back (the style with four triangles pointing up, dating the paper to c.1918-1930), with a divided back. A farm family poses in their Sunday best at the wooden gate of their board-and-batten farmhouse: the father in a dark suit and the mother in a white blouse and long dark skirt stand behind the gate, while their two sons stand in front, the younger boy in knickers holding the bridle of the family horse. The house fills the frame behind them, its full-width porch raised on stone foundation piers, with a white pitcher on a small porch cupboard, a pail hanging by the door, and a triangular curtain in the window. No names, place, or writing appear anywhere on the card.Condition NotesThe photograph is sharp and well exposed, with light corner and edge wear, a scuffed patch along the lower right edge of the image, and a few tiny specks in the sky and on the roof. The back is lightly toned with a few faint spots near the edges. The card was never mailed and both sides are blank.Shipping and Handling◆ Packaging: Shipped securely in a protective plastic sleeve with card stock support inside a white envelope.
