Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible French porcelain trompe l\'oeil mallard duck pâté tureen / covered casserole dish crafted by the historic Pillivuyt factory in Mehun-sur-Yèvre, France.
This piece dates to the early 2000s and features the green circular factory stamp on the unglazed base, alongside the incised size mark \"3\".
Pillivuyt\'s specialized, high-firing porcelaine à feu makes this item exceptionally durable, thermal-shock resistant, and completely oven-safe.
Perfect as a functional kitchen dish for baking pâtés, terrines, or rillettes, and stunning as a rustic farmhouse or cottagecore display piece.

Good vintage condition. No structural cracks or major damage to the body. Please note there are a few small flakes of glaze loss on the scalloped outer rim exposing the white porcelain underneath, as well as a minor, tight glaze check line/crease in one of the pastry-edge grooves (see macro close-up photos). These are purely cosmetic, do not compromise the integrity of the oven-safe porcelain, and are common for these utilitarian culinary pieces.
