Offered here is a vintage Paul A. Henckels Solingen Germany take-apart hobo knife featuring attractive brown jigged bone handles and polished metal bolsters.
This traditional hobo/camp knife separates into two individual halves, allowing the knife and eating utensil to be used independently. One half features a large spear-point blade, while the other incorporates a two-tine fork and bottle opener. The two sections join through the post-and-keyhole locking arrangement visible on the brass liners.
The handle shield is clearly marked “PAUL A. HENCKELS Solingen,” while the blade tang is stamped “INOX GERMANY.” INOX denotes stainless steel.
The deeply jigged bone handles are particularly attractive, displaying dark brown coloration through the jigging with lighter amber tones toward the bolsters. The combination of bone handles, traditional German construction and unusual take-apart hobo configuration makes this an interesting piece for a Solingen or vintage pocketknife collection.

Very good to excellent vintage condition.
Condition Notes
This knife presents extremely well for its age. The blade remains bright and full, with light scratches and handling/storage marks visible on the polished surfaces under close inspection and strong lighting. The fork/opener also remains bright with light surface marks.
The jigged bone handles have excellent color and character, and no obvious cracks or major chips are visible in the photographs. The polished bolsters show light scratching and handling marks.
The interior brass liners and mating surfaces show normal age-related toning, discoloration and light wear. The take-apart post-and-keyhole construction is clearly shown in the photographs.
The knife includes the box shown in the photographs. The box has handwritten identification on the lid, so we are not representing it as an original factory-matched box.
