Hey NOLA locals! Here's a solid duo of classic hotel china straight from the heart of the city—perfect for adding some Roosevelt charm to your table or collection, right here in the 7th Ward.
These are Shenango China plates custom-made for The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, featuring that iconic brown ornate border with floral motifs, little baskets/urns, and the hotel's eagle crest logo plus "The Roosevelt New Orleans" lettering. Heavy-duty vitreous china built for the long haul in one of Canal Street's grandest spots. Both show the standard Shenango marks (one with the earlier style and one with the later "Wst RecD-28" code—cool vintage variation).
Each measures 6 3/4" in diameter—great size for bread & butter, dessert, side salads, or just displaying that NOLA history pride.
Condition is good with honest signs of use: some light surface wear/utensil marks from real hotel life, but no chips, no cracks, no crazing. They're sturdy, shiny where it counts, and priced to reflect the gentle patina of authentic vintage pieces.
