Vintage Pair Texas Petrified Wood Stone Bookends Cut Polished Lpaidary Art 4" T For Sale

This vintage pair of Texas petrified wood stone bookends is a unique addition to any collection. The cut and polished LPaidary art showcases the natural beauty of the fossilized wood, making it a perfect display piece for any bookshelf or coffee table. Measuring at 4+ inches tall, these bookends are both functional and decorative, ensuring they will be a conversation starter in any room. Source material is reportedly found in Texas and these were cut and finely polished by a lapidary. These were part of a high end Keller, Texas estate where the previous owner was an active member of the Texas Barrel Racing Association and a sponsor member of the Cowboy Hall of Frame.
The bookends have earthy black, dark to light brown colors with beautiful outer texture of the original tree wood. These are very solid agatized with common wood opal in the matrix and are in good condition save for some spalling or other variability as to be expected for rocks and minerals recovered from the natural word then worked in a professional lapidary. The stone is highly silicified which really enhanced the polishing process where the artist did a fantastic job staging in the polishing using their skill, patience, and correct range of polishing grits. We will protect these with bubble wrap, packing paper, and secure by using double cardboard boxes wrapped with plenty of packing tape.
