Manufactured during the post-World War II Allied occupation of Japan (1945-1952), this delightful mid-century novelty piggy bank showcases the charm and craftsmanship of Occupied Japan porcelain. The piece features a high-gloss white glaze accented by a hand-painted pink floral motif on its flank, dark-tipped hooves, and a playful yellow splash accent on its head.
Presented in excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks, flea bites, repairs, or glaze crazing were observed. The vibrant hand-painted decoration and cold-painted details remain remarkably well preserved with minimal to no paint loss.
