Hand-carved Oaxacan copal wood alebrije in the style of early Manuel Jimenez Ramirez works.
This vintage carving features a walking wild pig/boar form with hand-painted blue and white aniline dye decorations. The legs are separately carved and attached with small nails.
Approx 9” L (nose to tail) x 2.5”W x 5” (top of ears)
Piece is Unmarked/Unsigned.
In good vintage condition. Remnants of a sticker left on underside. Pink snout has a small split in the wood. Structurally solid and displays well. Tail intact. Please review photos for details.
