Vintage O\'Brien Family Crest / Coat of Arms Framed Heraldry – Stanton\'s Heraldry
Celebrate Irish heritage with this vintage O\'Brien family crest (coat of arms) produced by Stanton\'s Heraldry. Featuring the historic O\'Brien surname beneath a richly detailed heraldic shield with traditional mantling and a knight\'s helmet, this decorative display is perfect for genealogy enthusiasts, Irish heritage collectors, Celtic home décor, or anyone proud of their O\'Brien ancestry.
The artwork features the traditional O\'Brien coat of arms with three golden lions on a red field, a heraldic design long associated with courage, strength, and noble lineage in Irish history. The illustration is signed by Ginny Stanton, whose artwork became well known through Stanton\'s Heraldry family crest collections.
Produced by Stanton\'s Heraldry of Glenolden, Pennsylvania, this vintage framed print reflects the popularity of Irish genealogy and family history during the late twentieth-century revival of interest in ancestral heritage. Stanton\'s heraldry pieces were commonly sold in Irish gift shops, genealogy stores, heritage festivals, and specialty boutiques as meaningful keepsakes celebrating family names and Irish ancestry.
The decorative wood-tone frame features elegant gold corner accents and includes both an easel back for tabletop display and a rear hanging hook for wall mounting, making it equally suited for a desk, office, library, study, family history room, or traditional Irish-themed home décor.
Historical Note
The O\'Brien surname traces its origins to the descendants of Brian Boru (c. 941–1014), the legendary High King of Ireland whose legacy remains one of the most celebrated in Irish history. While decorative family crest reproductions are intended as commemorative artwork rather than official genealogical proof, they remain enduring symbols of Irish heritage, family pride, and Celtic tradition.
Condition
Pre-owned in excellent vintage condition. The artwork presents beautifully with no significant damage observed. The frame shows only light age-appropriate wear consistent with careful ownership. The original Stanton\'s Heraldry label remains attached to the reverse. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and accurately represent the item\'s condition, measurements, and included components.
