Vintage Nova 5 Native American Mother & Baby Pottery Sculpture
This beautiful handcrafted Nova 5 sculpture depicts a Native American mother wrapped in a traditional white shawl while gently cradling her sleeping baby. The figure features hand-painted details, genuine dangling turquoise-style earrings, and the distinctive Southwestern style for which Nova 5 of Albuquerque, New Mexico is well known.
Nova 5 sculptures were individually hand cast and hand painted, making each example slightly unique. Many pieces were signed and dated by the artist on the underside, adding to their collectibility among Southwestern art and Native American décor enthusiasts. These sculptures have become increasingly difficult to find in excellent original condition.
