This listing is for a vintage Navajo crafted necklace made from Sterling Silver and High Grade Morenci Turquoise. This is a higher quality piece with beautiful stones and superb silver work. In a retail setting this caliber necklace would be priced anywhere between $1,250.00 and $2,000.00+. Asking price is well below market value, fair for both parties, and firm. NOTE: Please view all 22 photos…last 4 photos show the necklace on a 5 foot 8 inch tall, size 4 model/mannequin. This later-mid century necklace features a strand of beautifully stamped bench beads adorned with 5 squash blossom pendants holding gorgeous Morenci Turquoise Cabs. It’s a beautiful well crafted necklace, in wonderful vintage condition.
The stones are blue-green in color with subtle matrixes and so bright they have a glow effect…they’re very VERY nice stones. Each stone sits in a super finely etched sawtooth bezel surrounded by twisted rope while a triple fluted petal shoots out from the bottom. The bench beads alternate between round pearls and melon beads, all of which have classic Navajo stampings. Long silver cones followed by the original hook and eye clasp finish the design with everything being strung on a braided foxtail chain. The silver work is clean and clearly done at a higher level of craftsmanship. The bezels are so well done that the seams are nearly invisible. A signature is present in the form of a single initial “J” for an unidentified Navajo Artist. There is no sterling mark which is more than common in older Navajo pieces. The silver has been tested and we guarantee the metal content to be .925 sterling silver.

Necklace Length - The length measures 22” long.
Center Pendant Measurements - The center blossom measures just a hair under 2” long by just over 3/4” wide(13/16”). The remaining blossoms slightly graduate down in size with the smallest measuring just a tad under 1-3/4” long by 5/8” wide.
Bench Bead Measurements - The round pearls measure 8 millimeters wide at the seam and the melon beads measure 12 millimeters long by 6 millimeters wide.
Stamped Sterling - NO, (tested and verified .925 sterling silver guaranteed)
Signed by Artist - YES, stamped J for an unknown Navajo Artist…Possibly Jay Livingston ?

Condition - Preowned, in very fine vintage condition with all of its original stones and a naturally aged patina, 1 stone has a very faint hairline crack that can’t be felt and only seen with a loop, ready to wear or display
