Exceptional vintageNavajo sterling silver pill / trinket box, featuring substantial handmade construction and deeply hand-stamped decoration throughout.
The hinged lid is crowned by an impressive layeredconcho-style medallion, with deeply chased radial stamping surrounded by a scalloped sunburst border. Additional traditional geometric stampwork decorates the sides of the box.
This is a particularly appealing example because it has the visual character of traditional Navajo concho work translated into a small functional silver object.

The box retains a substantial amount of itsoriginal dark patina, along with oxidation, surface wear and areas of verdigris/residue to the interior consistent with age and use. I have intentionally left the piece unpolished rather than altering its vintage character. Hinge functions as intended.
Please review all photographs carefully, including the interior and close-ups, as they form an important part of the condition description.
A wonderful piece for a collection ofNative American silver, Navajo jewelry and objects, Southwestern silver, miniature boxes, pill boxes or vintage sterling objets.
